Week Two

Two weeks! This week has gone by incredibly fast! We spent three days doing prayer walks throughout our neighborhood with members of the church we are staying at. Most of our team ended up getting sick, possibly from food that we ate, so please keep praying that God would protect our team. On Saturday we went to another church and got to share testimonies of God´s awesomeness as well as answer any questions they wanted to ask us. After the youth group service on Saturday night we went to a near by park and played games with all of our new friends. We will be attending their church this coming Sunday. As for this past Sunday, I had the wonderful opportunity to shar a testimony during the church service, I got really nervous in front of all the people but it all worked out and went really well... I shared about seeing God as my Dad and not just some distant being. After church all the members gathered for a potluck! It was so much fun getting to hangout with everyone from the church. It reminded me of a big family gathering. Today we are going into the city center to hangout with some more friends that we have made since we have been here in Mexico. Please keep praying for our team and the ministry that we are doing here in Mexico. This week we are hosting a breakfast for local pastors to meet and schedule more ministry opportunities, pray that the pastors come and that we have lots of good opportunities!

I'm Kelcie, I like people, baking, summer weather, the ocean, and Jesus!

Here's a bible verse that inspires me:  Mark 10:28-30

Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!""I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
