After waiting ages(!) for my visa, it was finally approved! I arrived in Australia on February 23, 2009; therefore I have been here a little bit more than a month! This month has just zipped on by! After arriving I had about a week to adjust to being back to the YWAM base before having to leave again! Yep, shortly after getting back I found myself packing once more, this time I was only packing for two weeks and I was only going to another YWAM base about 15-20 min away. Now you may be wondering why after being back for a week I was already leaving for another YWAM base, well I can assure you its not because I don’t like this one that I am serving at. It is because I was doing a two-week course, to be more specific the course is called Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (Phase 1).  As described by the course leader: Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (Phase 1) is a valuable time of practical equipping for all staff in whatever area they are working in on a base. For school staff I firmly believe that you will come out of this course better equipped to serve the students entrusted to your care, and more confident in your role within a school. By the end of the course I was super excited to get back and really start working on the upcoming DTS that I am staffing! As of right now the school is starting in just under two weeks! We have four students, which is a pretty small school, but I trust God’s working. God is teaching me so many things, I am just trying to take it all in and apply it to my life, its amazing! Oh, before I forget you should totally check out this video on youtube.com its called “Finger of God” it’s a ten part series and is simply awesome! Anyway that is all I have been up to this past month,  I would love to hear from you, please contact me!

I'm Kelcie, I like people, baking, summer weather, the ocean, and Jesus!

Here's a bible verse that inspires me:  Mark 10:28-30

Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!""I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
