Well I have been back in Australia for two weeks now...
It already seems like a long time/ no time at all. We started lectures with our first topic being "call to all" with Danny Taylor from Perth. I feel like I have already learned so much about evangelism. One of the most impacting things that I learned from Danny's speaking was that evangelism is essentially loving others. A cool idea that Danny illustrated to us was that God is a father and as a father he is simply asking us to help him find his lost children. I love that illustration because how many of us would totally help out if someone all of a sudden told us their child/ children were missing... I am pretty sure that most people will say yes to the plead of a parent in need.
Aside from our first week of lectures we (as a whole YWAM base not just a School of Evangelism) had the awesome experience of going to Canberra for a week! Canberra is Australia's capital city and was where YWAM's 50yrs Jubilee Celebration was taking place. It was a wonderful family like time where not just our YWAM base gathered but over 10 other Australian YWAM bases gathered to celebrate. We were then joined by the founders of YWAM, Loren and Darlene Cunningham! It was an essential time as an organization to review our past and present and be inspired for what is going to happen in the future! I am not entirely sure what this coming week's topic will be but stay tuned for more updates!
much love from OZ,
