Java June is our theme for Youth Street this month, so I figured I would carry that over to my latest post. Also it has been getting colder here as winter approaches, so I would definitely describe this month with the term java b/c of all the coffee I've been drinking to stay warm.

Things are really kicking into gear for the School of Innovative Youth ministry starting in just about three weeks! Right now we are cranking away on sorting out the content for the lecture phase, booking in times for speakers and organizing projects for the school. It is a really exciting time with looking at how the school can have heaps of content and learning as well as practical input of what we are learning into ministry. Continue praying for more students (praise the Lord for the breakthrough we've already seen, in getting a new applicant!)

Aside from the school I am also working in our youth ministry department: Youth Street. We are having outreach teams return from the January quarter so it is quite busy in the house and office. This Saturday we are going to be running our first-ever Youth Street from the warehouse. We got the warehouse three years ago and have been working, building, and developing since then. Our vision is to completely run all of our ministry from the warehouse, including a cafe and skate park! However, we have been held up with pending approvals for construction and such. Pray that we have a great turn-out of crew (12-17 year olds) and that the details come together so that it is an awesome time, also for the development of the warehouse, that we continue to see breakthrough with certificates and finances.

We are also hosting an expo/job fair type of event for the returning students so if they are wanting to get involved they can ask questions and get more information on what it would look like to be a part of YWAM Newcastle. Please pray that they will hear God clearly on the plans that he may have for them, whether here or elsewhere.

I'm Kelcie, I like people, baking, summer weather, the ocean, and Jesus!

Here's a bible verse that inspires me:  Mark 10:28-30

Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!""I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
