This past week has been wonderful, God is definitely doing amazing things here in Newcastle and within our YWAM base and ministry, I am so thankful to be here and to have the opportunity to be part of what God is doing here.
With that, here are some of my highlights for the week:
  • On Tuesday nights I normally go to a home group gathering with people from church. This week my friend and fellow YWAMer, Sam and I got to host home group, we got to cook dinner for everyone and it was so delicious! We made greek inspired food, it reminded me of my dad and everything turned out really well. We also heard some amazing teaching about the spiritual gift of prophecy, which I'd like to write more about at a later time.
  • Wednesday night was also amazing because we had out public meeting down at the warehouse. We had a guest speaker from Adelaide come and share his story and journey with God. After his teaching about 7 guys that had come for the first time, decided to become Christians!
  • Thursday was another awesome day, our entire youth ministry department was invited to help with a scripture seminar at a local high school for about 300 students that were in year 7. Our topic for the seminar was 'The Bible' we were able to share about the importance of the Bible as well as teach them how to use the Bible.
  • Friday was a bit of a bittersweet day, my roommate Natalie left for four months. I'll miss her but she is going to be doing incredible stuff in Europe. I look forward to hearing her stories of what God is doing over there. If you want to hear more about what she is doing you can check out her webpage: Natalie. We also had an epic prayer time for our warehouse and the 'Believe' campaign, God is continuing to bring breakthrough in so many areas, it's very encouraging.
  • Saturday, yet another incredible day of seeing God move. Youth Street was good, what an opportunity! Every week we get to share about who God is with heaps of young people.
Please continue to pray for us here in Newcastle!

I'm Kelcie, I like people, baking, summer weather, the ocean, and Jesus!

Here's a bible verse that inspires me:  Mark 10:28-30

Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!""I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
