2012!!! I can't believe it is already a new year! The past couple of weeks have been very relaxing due to the holiday season.

Christmas was really fun here in Newcastle, because we have students and lots of people that are from overseas we put a lot of work into creating a fun family time for everyone. This included a Christmas gift exchange, movie nights, meals together, beach adventures (because it is summer time here) and lots of hangout time.  New year's eve was also very relaxed, we didn't run any big events but my roommates and I had planned to have dessert together and watch a movie, so we invited a few other people and then before midnight we went into town to watch the fireworks shoot off from the light house near the beach.
I'm looking forward to what this year will bring and all the opportunities that are presenting themselves! Stay tuned for more information on upcoming plans!

Besides figuring out bigger picture plans, things are moving forward in the Youth Street department, the new January Discipleship Training Schools (Sport & Summer Classic) have just arrived and we've already started training them for this term of Youth Street. Please keep praying for us, that God will continue speaking fresh vision and creative ideas to us!

Coming up soon....I'm planning a trip to the states. I have two really good friends from here that I work with who are getting married. As well, I will be visiting my family for a couple of weeks.

I'm Kelcie, I like people, baking, summer weather, the ocean, and Jesus!

Here's a bible verse that inspires me:  Mark 10:28-30

Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!""I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
