Rejoice in our confident hope...Keep on praying. (Romans 12:12)
Each morning as I wake up and begin my routine of preparing for the day ahead I progressively get more and more excited. I think to myself "Wow, what a privilege it is to be here and do the work that I get to do."
This past week we have been involved with three different high schools doing all sorts of activities. Some of the activities have been: running a seminar focused on overcoming for over 100 students in year 8, participating in a high ropes course for new arriving high school students, and mentoring/tutoring year 7 students to help build their confidence and skill in reading.
In my last update I mentioned that we are preparing for our outreach phase of the school and will be involved in our annual youth camp, 5 Day Escape, we'll be working with Youth Street in Townsville for a week, and we'll be going to Cambodia to continue our youth work in the city of Battambang.
For this outreach to be possible there are three areas that I'm believing for financial breakthrough in.
5DE, our annual youth camp, which is $370
Cambodia, overseas outreach leading the SOIYM team, $3,000
Stafffees, I need to have my staff fees up to date to be able to lead the team overseas, $1,000
My total goal is $4,370 and my deadline to reach this goal is two weeks. I invite you to join me in this journey of believing and trusting God to provide. Already this year has been such a journey of faith to trust God to provide, especially with doing another YWAM course, getting unexpected news about my friend passing away and attending the memorial service in Okinawa, but through it all God is faithful and always provides.
I'm Kelcie, I like people, baking, summer weather, the ocean, and Jesus!
Here's a bible verse that inspires me: Mark 10:28-30 Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!""I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
